Bloom Effects was created by two wonderful women. It is a beauty brand that uses TULIPS as their main ingredient and they created this amazing range of products that we were lucky enough to try. Make sure to check out our podcast episode (# 57), so you can learn more about how they got started. Anyway's going into this segment we wanted to try their products which are manufactured out of NY and Amsterdam! They use all-natural, clean ingredients... Tulips DUH. So we decided to do a 30 day challenge and here's our breakdown:
First and foremost, let's mention that all their products are documented as CLEAN BEAUTY. Which means they are formulated without any:
♡Parabens
♡Sulfates
♡Phthalates
♡Fragrance
♡Synthetic Dyes
Note: packaging is also made from recyclable materials
Overview
The moisturizer and face wash come in the cutest packaging with a little tulip handle for application. Make sure you clean it and don’t put your hands in the product to avoid bacteria buildup! Both products come in a beautiful texture. The moisturizer in a honey-yellow color and the face wash in a rose pink color. The moisturizer is a little sticky when you first put it on but when you rub it in it kind of gives you that warming effect on your skin.
Royal Tulip Nectar
Pros
You can really see the difference when you use the moisturizer as an overnight mask. In the morning you can feel and visibly see that your skin is super hydrated! This product really locks in the moisture right where it should! You can also apply it wherever you need that extra hydration (full body if you’d like). We make sure to cover our face, neck and chest area!
Pro tip: You can put this moisturizer in the fridge and use it as a cooling mask.
Cons
When you first apply the moisturizer you may notice a small scent that is not really specific to anything. I don’t know if that’s good or bad for you it just depends on your personal preference. Since they are fragrance free that does eliminate yet another chemical that is typically added in beauty products. The other thing to note is when you first apply it your face will look very shiny because the moisturizer is sticky and takes some time to really penetrate your skin.

Pros
This cleansing jelly has one of the best textures we've seen. It gives you a good clean wash without any added scent. We like that there is no scent in this particular product because we just want our face to feel clean with as little of the chemicals as possible (so as not to strip your natural oils). This product cleans your face well when you have no makeup on!
Cons
Personally, we like a soapy consistency to a cleanser! Maybe it's in our heads that it makes us feel like we're getting a deep clean. Because of this, we noticed that you need to use more product in order to get that deep cleansing effect especially after a day of wearing makeup. If you are bare faced then of course a little bit goes a long way however, if you're not we would definitely recommend a good makeup remover wash in addition to this one for double cleansing.

Like this product as my choice of cleanser on the days we're bare faced. If this is you every day as it has been for us during the pandemic, we would recommend using this cleanser six days a week with your one day off via a deep cleansing treatment.

Overview
This Mask is meant to be exfoliating and honestly we loved how our face looked after the fact! The mud mask literally looks like you’re putting soil on your face so naturally it made us feel like a plant, but in a good way!!
Pros
You definitely feel the exfoliating effects while applying this to your face. There are two ways to use it which is nice. One way is using as a scrub cleanser and the other way as a mask once or twice a week. Make sure to gently wash it off, after which you immediately feel super clean and as if you removed all the toxins off your face! We definitely love the exfoliating aftermath of this product.
Cons
That exfoliating effect might be just a little too much for our skin. It’s definitely more of a rough product to put on. We recommend doing a test run on another area of your skin to make sure you have no reaction to it (especially, for anyone with sensitive skin). This product is great but you should try to put on a little bit at a time or maybe to skin that is slightly damp and not completely dry. The other thing that also coincides with this is that it dries almost immediately as you put it on your face which has you use more of the product and also reiterates back to the why it’s so rough on your skin.

Overall
We absolutely love this product due to the after look and feel! After the first try, we began to notice how good your skin looks. You look refreshed and feel clean but you have to work around the rough nature of the product and if you can’t then this product may not be for you.

Overview
The lip balm is meant to give you a moisturizing effect that is long lasting with an added pink lip tint and for it's anti-aging effects.
Pros
This lip balm definitely meets the criteria for being useful for a longer wear with the added bonus of a subtle rosy pink color.
Cons
Personally, for us we love a good scent which this product doesn't give us. Also, a lot of the lip balms are tasty which due to the natural ingredients this balm also doesn't offer. However, take this con as you may. This is more of a personal preference than anything else. Finally, not necessarily a con but we can't yet comment on the anti-aging effects of this product in terms of reducing the appearance of wrinkles.

We believe this is a good moisturizing balm made with clean ingredients which we can definitely appreciate in an era where many brands call themselves clean but really aren't. Would be nice to establish a line of different colors and also don't forget that this product doubles as a blush!

These products are a must have. We decided that even with the minimal scent component we can tailor these products for what they were meant to provide. We would also love to see their list of ingredients on the bottles. Our favorite product from this line will of course have to be the ROYAL TULIP NECTAR. That is a product we plan on purchasing for many years to come. What we want? A tulip eye cream! But, for now we will wonder about how magnificent that would be.
